#In Southern California, Cockroaches can be quite a nuisance if not treated. Cockroaches are the #1 cause of allergies and asthma. They can also transport potentially dangerous microbes, and to top it all off, they can leave an offensive odor.

The most common Roach in Southern California is the German Cockroach. These are the roaches commonly found in or near restaurants, food processing facilities, nursing homes, etc. They are not very tolerant to cold, so of course they thrive here in sunny California. Most of the time, you will not see them during the day unless there is a large population. This is very important to remember. If you see one of these during the day, call us immediately because you potentially have a very big problem on your hands that you can't even see.

German cockroaches are more difficult to exterminate once established!

#The German cockroach is very good at establishing itself in buildings, and is very resilient towards attempts to exterminate them. They can produce a large number of offspring in a short period of time. The mother also carries the eggs with her during the germination period, rather than depositing it like other roaches. Its small size (between .5" and .75") allows it to hide and squeeze into small spaces.

We take pride in the fact that we're better than our competitors at wiping out roaches. In addition to using bait that is designed to work a little slow so that they take it back to the nest, we use a dust and a special growth regulator (our competitors don't use this because it is expensive) that doesn't allow roaches to mature. It also makes roaches hungry so they want to eat more bait. This combination of techniques will eventually wipe out the whole colony because we take away their ability to reproduce effectively. Also because of our technique, we rarely have to come back out to retreat the problem because of a re-infestation.

One of the problems other pest control companies have with the german cockroach is that they are very good at becoming resistant to chemicals because of their short life span and fast reproductive cycles. Our approach takes this into consideration and we measure our success by how happy our customers are.

Don't ignore a roach problem because what you don't see is way worse than the little critters you see running away from you. Give us a call and we'll take care of the problem for you.
